Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work An Allegory Of The Story Of Ulysses by Matthäus Terwesten was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2020. Here, the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 6,875.00 (€ 6,197.60). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Matthäus Terwesten - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Allegory of Peace, which sold at auction in May 2007 for EUR 20,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit An Allegory Of The Story Of Ulysses von Matthäus Terwesten kam im Januar 2020 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 6.875,00 (€ 6.197,60) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Matthäus Terwesten mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit An Allegory of Peace beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für EUR 20.400,00 versteigert wurde.
