This artwork by Mathurin Moreau achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in November 2019. In the Old Master & 19th Century Art auction, the work La Source sold for EUR 16,900.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mathurin Moreau - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work French printemps, which sold at auction in November 2012 for USD 68,500.00 (€ 52,651.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mathurin Moreau erzielte im November 2019 bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Art wurde die Arbeit La Source für EUR 16.900,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mathurin Moreau mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit French printemps beobachtet, die im November 2012 für USD 68.500,00 (€ 52.651,81) versteigert wurde.
