A top price for Mathurin Janssaud - as previously expected
The work L'embarcadère by Mathurin Janssaud was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2002. The price achieved of GBP 2,585.00 (€ 4,225.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, L'embarcadère is the most expensive artwork by Mathurin Janssaud that we have observed at auctions so far.
