This artwork by Mateo Cerezo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2021. In the Old Masters Day Sale auction, the work The Nativity sold for GBP 88,200.00 (€ 103,432.79) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Mateo Cerezo; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Immaculate Conception sold at auction in April 2015 with the realized price of GBP 93,750.00 (€ 128,740.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 76 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mateo Cerezo erzielte im Juli 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale wurde die Arbeit The Nativity für GBP 88.200,00 (€ 103.432,79) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Mateo Cerezo; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Immaculate Conception im April 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 93.750,00 (€ 128.740,37).
