Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A double album leaf with two separate studies on each side: Recto: The Last Supper; An Adoration Verso: The Madonna and Child; A study of a Cow by Mateo Cerezo was sold in the Old Master & British Works on Paper auction at Sothebys in London in July 2021. The price achieved of GBP 5,670.00 (€ 6,649.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mateo Cerezo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Immaculate Conception in April 2015 with an auction result of GBP 93,750.00 (€ 128,740.37).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.670,00 (€ 6.649,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mateo Cerezo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Immaculate Conception im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 93.750,00 (€ 128.740,37).
