A top price for Master SB
In July 2009 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century ArtDay Sale, which included the work Plums, pears, apples, a melon, a basket of grapes and other fruit and mushrooms on a stone ledge; and Peaches, zucchini, artichokes, asparagus, grape-leaves and figs on a stone ledge by Master SB. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 120,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 121,250.00 (€ 137,582.41). With this result, Plums, pears, apples, a melon, a basket of grapes and other fruit and mushrooms on a stone ledge; and Peaches, zucchini, artichokes, asparagus, grape-leaves and figs on a stone ledge is even the most expensive work of art by Master SB that we have observed at auctions so far.

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 120.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 121.250,00 (€ 137.582,41) einen neuen Besitzer.
