The price achieved of USD 52,500.00 (€ 46,762.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Master of Staffolo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Madonna at the Holy House of Loreto with Saints Anthony of Padua and Bernardino of Siena, which sold at auction in June 2012 for USD 158,500.00 (€ 125,118.41).
