The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,776.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Massimo d'Azeglio have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Contadinella Alla Quale È Caduto L'Asino In Un Cattivo Passo in December 2008 with an auction result of EUR 29,550.00.
