Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Masao Kinoshita achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2005. In the ASIAN CONTEMPORARY ART auction, the work Minotaur sold for HKD 54,000.00 (€ 5,908.40) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Masao Kinoshita - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ganesha, which sold at auction in May 2007 for HKD 192,000.00 (€ 18,282.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Masao Kinoshita erzielte im November 2005 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion ASIAN CONTEMPORARY ART wurde die Arbeit Minotaur für HKD 54.000,00 (€ 5.908,40) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Masao Kinoshita mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ganesha beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für HKD 192.000,00 (€ 18.282,32) versteigert wurde.
