Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Bonhams in Paris held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Four landscapes depicting Pollok Country Park, painted circa 1913 by Mary Reid. The price achieved of GBP 640.00 (€ 734.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mary Reid achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Night and Day (1920) in October this year with an auction result of GBP 15,360.00 (€ 17,637.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Four landscapes depicting Pollok Country Park, painted circa 1913 von Mary Reid zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 640,00 (€ 734,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mary Reid erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Night and Day (1920) im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.360,00 (€ 17.637,55).
