Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Mary McCrossan could be acquired at Christies in London in October 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Watercolours auction, the work Hydrangeas in Hyde Park changed hands for GBP 120.00 (€ 179.29) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mary McCrossan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Piazza San Marco, Venice in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,105.89).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mary McCrossan konnte im Oktober 2006 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours wechselte die Arbeit Hydrangeas in Hyde Park für GBP 120,00 (€ 179,29) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mary McCrossan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Piazza San Marco, Venice im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.105,89).
