Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Bonhams held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work The Proposal by Mary Fedden. The price achieved of GBP 3,187.50 (€ 3,626.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mary Fedden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Things in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 103,250.00 (€ 131,606.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Proposal von Mary Fedden zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.187,50 (€ 3.626,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mary Fedden erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit My Things im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 103.250,00 (€ 131.606,71).
