This artwork by Mary Fedden achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in July this year. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Still Life with Blackbird sold for GBP 5,376.00 (€ 6,272.16) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mary Fedden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Things in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 103,250.00 (€ 131,606.71).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Mary Fedden erzielte im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Still Life with Blackbird für GBP 5.376,00 (€ 6.272,16) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mary Fedden erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit My Things im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 103.250,00 (€ 131.606,71).
