The work Whisper by Marwa Adel was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art auction at Christies in Dubai in April 2011. It achieved a price of USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,060.39), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marwa Adel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2011 for USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,755.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Whisper von Marwa Adel wurde im April 2011 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art bei Christies in Dubai versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 5.060,39) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Für andere Arbeiten von Marwa Adel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2011 für USD 15.000,00 (€ 10.755,00) versteigert wurde.
