In September 2013 Christies in London held the auction The Collection of Professor Sir Albert Richardson, P.R.A., which included the work An extensive mountainous landscape with figures on horseback and others resting in the foreground, a winding river and a town beyond by Maerten Ryckaert. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,424.36), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maerten Ryckaert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A River Landscape With The Flight Into Egypt in January 2009 with an auction result of USD 698,500.00 (€ 545,532.65).

Im September 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Collection of Professor Sir Albert Richardson, P.R.A. durch, in der auch die Arbeit An extensive mountainous landscape with figures on horseback and others resting in the foreground, a winding river and a town beyond von Maerten Ryckaert zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 19.424,36) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maerten Ryckaert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A River Landscape With The Flight Into Egypt im Januar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 698.500,00 (€ 545.532,65).
