Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2015 Christies in London held the auction 20/21 Posters The Ski Sale, which included the work Mürren by Martin Peikert. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,497.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martin Peikert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Verbier in January 2015 with an auction result of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 28,281.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20/21 Posters The Ski Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mürren von Martin Peikert zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.497,28) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Martin Peikert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Verbier im Januar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 28.281,89).
