Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mob by Martin Peikert was auctioned at Christies in London in January 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,583.09) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Martin Peikert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Verbier in January 2015 with an auction result of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 28,281.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mob von Martin Peikert kam im Januar 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.583,09) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Martin Peikert auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Verbier im Januar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 28.281,89).
