Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Still life with Leeks by Martin Gale was sold in the The Irish Sale Part II auction at Christies in London in May 2007. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,531.76), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Martin Gale - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Weekender, which sold at auction in September 2017 for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,508.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Still life with Leeks von Martin Gale wurde im Mai 2007 in der Auktion The Irish Sale Part II bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.531,76) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Martin Gale mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Weekender beobachtet, die im September 2017 für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.508,85) versteigert wurde.
