Despite a disappointment, a good price for Martha Diamond
This work of art by Martha Diamond could be acquired at Christies in New York in December 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Social Monument changed hands for USD 1,000.00 (€ 753.64) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, Social Monument is the most expensive artwork by Martha Diamond that we have observed at auction so far.
