Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rhododendrons by Martha Darley Mutrie was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2013. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,458.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martha Darley Mutrie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wild flowers at the corner of a cornfield in July last year with an auction result of GBP 50,400.00 (€ 60,186.55).
