Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Grapes, roses, peaches, cherries, strawberries and a glass vase, on a table by Martha Darley Mutrie for GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,172.63). This price was achieved in the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martha Darley Mutrie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wild flowers at the corner of a cornfield in July last year with an auction result of GBP 50,400.00 (€ 60,186.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Grapes, roses, peaches, cherries, strawberries and a glass vase, on a table von Martha Darley Mutrie für GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.172,63) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Martha Darley Mutrie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wild flowers at the corner of a cornfield im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.400,00 (€ 60.186,55).
