Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2008 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Graffiti Art, which included the work Samo, 1982-2007 by Martha Cooper. The price achieved of EUR 372.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by Martha Cooper have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Duro, Doze, Mare139, Sha147, Daze, Pink, Crash Jumping From Amphiteater, Manhattan, 1982 - 2008 in November 2021 with an auction result of EUR 2,860.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2008 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Graffiti Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Samo, 1982-2007 von Martha Cooper zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 372,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Martha Cooper auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Duro, Doze, Mare139, Sha147, Daze, Pink, Crash Jumping From Amphiteater, Manhattan, 1982 - 2008 im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.860,00.
