In February 2012 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Street Art, which included the work Portrait De Kase 2 - Hommage, 1982-2011 by Martha Cooper. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,275.00 42% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Martha Cooper - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Duro, Doze, Mare139, Sha147, Daze, Pink, Crash Jumping From Amphiteater, Manhattan, 1982 - 2008, which sold at auction in November 2021 for EUR 2,860.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 42 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2012 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Street Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait De Kase 2 - Hommage, 1982-2011 von Martha Cooper zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.275,00 und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Martha Cooper mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Duro, Doze, Mare139, Sha147, Daze, Pink, Crash Jumping From Amphiteater, Manhattan, 1982 - 2008 beobachtet, die im November 2021 für EUR 2.860,00 versteigert wurde.
