Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2008 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Street Art, which included the work Boys In Clubhouse With Guns by Martha Cooper. The price achieved of EUR 1,020.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Martha Cooper - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Duro, Doze, Mare139, Sha147, Daze, Pink, Crash Jumping From Amphiteater, Manhattan, 1982 - 2008, which sold at auction in November 2021 for EUR 2,860.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2008 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Street Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Boys In Clubhouse With Guns von Martha Cooper zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.020,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Martha Cooper mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Duro, Doze, Mare139, Sha147, Daze, Pink, Crash Jumping From Amphiteater, Manhattan, 1982 - 2008 beobachtet, die im November 2021 für EUR 2.860,00 versteigert wurde.
