The price achieved of EUR 26,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maerten Ryckaert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A River Landscape With The Flight Into Egypt in January 2009 with an auction result of USD 698,500.00 (€ 545,532.65).
