Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Mother and Child by Marshall Fredericks for USD 5,250.00 (€ 3,321.73). This price was achieved in the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marshall Fredericks achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Freedom of the Human Spirit 24 1/2 in. (62.2 cm.) high, on a 4 in. (10.2 cm.) high marble base in May last year with an auction result of USD 38,175.00 (€ 35,574.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Mother and Child von Marshall Fredericks für USD 5.250,00 (€ 3.321,73) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marshall Fredericks erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Freedom of the Human Spirit 24 1/2 in. (62.2 cm.) high, on a 4 in. (10.2 cm.) high marble base im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 38.175,00 (€ 35.574,50).
