Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2004 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Paintings, which included the work Finding A Nest; And Feeding The Chicks by Mark William Langlois. The price achieved of GBP 1,075.50 (€ 1,566.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mark William Langlois - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The toy vendor, which sold at auction in May 2004 for GBP 3,346.00 (€ 5,020.23).
