This artwork by Mark Senior achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2009. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Young women knitting in the shade; and By the cottage sold for GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,156.70) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mark Senior achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The tennis player in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 52,500.00 (€ 61,567.14).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Mark Senior erzielte im März 2009 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wurde die Arbeit Young women knitting in the shade; and By the cottage für GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.156,70) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mark Senior erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The tennis player im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 52.500,00 (€ 61.567,14).
