Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Bonhams held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Farmstead With Geese by Mark Senior. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,160.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mark Senior achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The tennis player in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 52,500.00 (€ 61,567.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Farmstead With Geese von Mark Senior zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.160,45) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mark Senior erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The tennis player im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 52.500,00 (€ 61.567,14).
