Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

The work 'HMS Dragon in the North-East Trades' by Mark Richard Myers was sold in the The Marine Sale auction at Bonhams in London in April last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,530.00 (€ 1,824.47). Admittedly, works by Mark Richard Myers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The cutting out of the Curieux, Martinique, 4th February 1804 in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,344.67).

Die Arbeit 'HMS Dragon in the North-East Trades' von Mark Richard Myers wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion The Marine Sale bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.530,00 (€ 1.824,47) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mark Richard Myers auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The cutting out of the Curieux, Martinique, 4th February 1804 im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 9.344,67).
