Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Brigs under full canvas in close quarters at sea by Mark Richard Myers for USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,376.05). This price was achieved in the auction Maritime at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mark Richard Myers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The cutting out of the Curieux, Martinique, 4th February 1804, which sold at auction in May 2012 for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,344.67).

Für andere Arbeiten von Mark Richard Myers mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The cutting out of the Curieux, Martinique, 4th February 1804 beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 9.344,67) versteigert wurde.
