Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,040.00 (€ 2,377.13). Admittedly, works by Mark Beard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fumeurs sur les roches in June this year with an auction result of EUR 11,520.00.

Die Arbeit Two seated boxers von Mark Beard wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion The Male Form bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.040,00 (€ 2.377,13) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mark Beard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fumeurs sur les roches im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 11.520,00.
