Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction The Male Form, which included the work American footballers by Mark Beard. The price achieved of GBP 2,805.00 (€ 3,268.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mark Beard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fumeurs sur les roches, which sold at auction in June this year for EUR 11,520.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Male Form durch, in der auch die Arbeit American footballers von Mark Beard zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.805,00 (€ 3.268,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mark Beard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fumeurs sur les roches beobachtet, die im Juni diesen Jahres für EUR 11.520,00 versteigert wurde.
