Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Mark Antokolsky achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in April 2008. In the Russian Art auction, the work The Chronicler Nestor sold for USD 79,000.00 (€ 50,745.12) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mark Antokolsky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ivan The Terrible, which sold at auction in April 2014 for USD 269,000.00 (€ 193,943.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mark Antokolsky erzielte im April 2008 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Russian Art wurde die Arbeit The Chronicler Nestor für USD 79.000,00 (€ 50.745,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mark Antokolsky mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ivan The Terrible beobachtet, die im April 2014 für USD 269.000,00 (€ 193.943,76) versteigert wurde.
