A top price for Marion Borgelt - as previously expected
In November this year Bonhams in Sydney held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Liquid Light: Eclipse No. 1, 2005-06 by Marion Borgelt. The price achieved of AUD 9,840.00 (€ 5,966.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Liquid Light: Eclipse No. 1, 2005-06 is the most expensive artwork by Marion Borgelt that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Sydney die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Liquid Light: Eclipse No. 1, 2005-06 von Marion Borgelt zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 9.840,00 (€ 5.966,42) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Liquid Light: Eclipse No. 1, 2005-06 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Marion Borgelt, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
