Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Mario Schifano could be acquired at Christies in Milan in April 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Milan Modern and Contemporary auction, the work Words and Drawings of Frank O’Hara Mario Schifano changed hands for EUR 195,736.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mario Schifano have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Stanza Dei Disegni in October last year with an auction result of EUR 1,302,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mario Schifano konnte im April 2017 bei Christies in Mailand für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Milan Modern and Contemporary wechselte die Arbeit Words and Drawings of Frank O’Hara Mario Schifano für EUR 195.736,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mario Schifano auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Stanza Dei Disegni im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.302.000,00.
