Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Bonhams in Paris held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Forêt by Mario Prassinos. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 15,300.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Mario Prassinos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work French Bessie Enchainee in November 2009 with an auction result of GBP 61,250.00 (€ 67,030.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Forêt von Mario Prassinos zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 15.300,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mario Prassinos auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit French Bessie Enchainee im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 61.250,00 (€ 67.030,23).
