In November 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Selections from the Israel Museum, Jerusalem Sold to Benefit the Acquisitions Fund, which included the work Studio per una testa by Mario Negri. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,649.47), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mario Negri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tutta una vita insieme in June 2018 with an auction result of EUR 42,000.00.
