In November 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Selections from the Israel Museum, Jerusalem Sold to Benefit the Acquisitions Fund, which included the work Figurina ancestrale, Figurina muliebre, Progetto and Bozzetto per una figura acefala (Four Works) by Mario Negri. The »bidding war« ended at USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,623.69), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Mario Negri have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tutta una vita insieme in June 2018 with an auction result of EUR 42,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im November 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Selections from the Israel Museum, Jerusalem Sold to Benefit the Acquisitions Fund durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figurina ancestrale, Figurina muliebre, Progetto and Bozzetto per una figura acefala (Four Works) von Mario Negri zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.623,69) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mario Negri auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tutta una vita insieme im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 42.000,00.
