Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2012 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art, which included the work Travellers resting by a woodland path by Marinus Adrianus Koekkoek. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,123.39). Admittedly, works by Marinus Adrianus Koekkoek have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An extensive riverlandscape with figures unloading a stone transport in April 2003 with an auction result of EUR 71,700.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Travellers resting by a woodland path von Marinus Adrianus Koekkoek zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.123,39) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marinus Adrianus Koekkoek auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An extensive riverlandscape with figures unloading a stone transport im April 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 71.700,00.
