In January 2013 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art, which included the work A Visitor At A Lakeside Farmstead by Marinus Adrianus Koekkoek. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,128.09), 31% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marinus Adrianus Koekkoek achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An extensive riverlandscape with figures unloading a stone transport in April 2003 with an auction result of EUR 71,700.00.

Im Januar 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Visitor At A Lakeside Farmstead von Marinus Adrianus Koekkoek zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.128,09) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marinus Adrianus Koekkoek erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An extensive riverlandscape with figures unloading a stone transport im April 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 71.700,00.
