Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A traveler and his donkey in a mountainous landscape by Marinus Adrianus Koekkoek was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2012. The price achieved of EUR 5,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marinus Adrianus Koekkoek achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An extensive riverlandscape with figures unloading a stone transport in April 2003 with an auction result of EUR 71,700.00.
