In the Maritime Art Including Fine Paintings, Nautical Antiques, Scrimshaw And Ship Models auction, the work A clipper ship in calm waters sold for USD 13,750.00 (€ 9,264.87) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marin-Marie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View of a dockyard with a three-master lying alongside a quay, which sold at auction in May 2011 for GBP 20,625.00 (€ 23,584.75).

In der Auktion Maritime Art Including Fine Paintings, Nautical Antiques, Scrimshaw And Ship Models wurde die Arbeit A clipper ship in calm waters für USD 13.750,00 (€ 9.264,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Marin-Marie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit View of a dockyard with a three-master lying alongside a quay beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für GBP 20.625,00 (€ 23.584,75) versteigert wurde.
