In November 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin America: Modern Art, which included the work Gallo Azul by Mariano Rodríguez. The »bidding war« ended at USD 25,000.00 (€ 21,011.93), 39% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mariano Rodríguez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pelea de gallos in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 1,087,500.00 (€ 1,028,077.14).

Im November 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin America: Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gallo Azul von Mariano Rodríguez zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 21.011,93) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mariano Rodríguez erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pelea de gallos im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.087.500,00 (€ 1.028.077,14).
