Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary East, which included the work Ovchinnikova by Maria Ovchinnikova. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,317.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maria Ovchinnikova - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lenin, which sold at auction in November 2013 for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 16,546.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary East durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ovchinnikova von Maria Ovchinnikova zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.317,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Maria Ovchinnikova mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lenin beobachtet, die im November 2013 für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 16.546,28) versteigert wurde.
