Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tsar Visiting The Prisoners; The Nativity Cathedral Of The Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery Near Zvenigorod; And Chapel Interior by Maria Iakunchikova was auctioned at Christies in June 2021. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,369.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maria Iakunchikova achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work From a window of the old house, Vvedenskoe in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 690,850.00 (€ 806,496.64).
