In the British, Continental & Russian Pictures auction, the work Through fields of gold sold for GBP 1,680.00 (€ 2,534.73) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 900.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maria Boohtiyarova - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Awaiting his return, which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,744.26).
