Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Margherita Caffi could be acquired at Il Ponte in October 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Furniture and Old Master Paintings, Silver, Clocks, Musical Instruments, Historia, Carpets and Textiles, Old Master Drawings and Prints auction, the work Vase of flowers changed hands for EUR 6,000.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 6,500.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Margherita Caffi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vaso di fiori e un bicchiere con garofani su un piano di pietra en plein air Ghirlanda di fiori e un piatto di ceramica su un piano di pietra en plein air in December 2001 with an auction result of ITL 49,000,000.00 (€ 44,040.00).

In der Auktion Furniture and Old Master Paintings, Silver, Clocks, Musical Instruments, Historia, Carpets and Textiles, Old Master Drawings and Prints wechselte die Arbeit Vase of flowers für EUR 6.000,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 6.500,00 – 7.000,00.
