In the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work Cake, Raisins And Nuts changed hands for USD 43,000.00 (€ 27,634.96) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 50,000.00 – 75,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Margaretta Angelica Peale - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Melon, Cherries And Plums, which sold at auction in May 2008 for USD 91,000.00 (€ 58,483.29).
