In the Old Master & British Drawings auction, the work A Cockchafer On A Branch, Two Butterflies, A Moth And A Small Beetle Above, And A Landscape Behind sold for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,035.81) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Margareta de Heer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A red cabbage, a snail, a butterfly, a dragonfly, a bee and a wood louse, in a landscape, which sold at auction in May 2012 for EUR 61,000.00.
